- 2019
A shared beginning
On 1 July 2019, more than 25 people from different families decided to establish a co-operative society based in Velliyoor, Koyilandy Taluk, for the upliftment of farmers, agricultural workers and small traders.
- 2020
Officially registered
Registered on 2 September 2020 as D3307, the Society began operations in a small building with limited facilities.
- 2024
Our new office
Our new office at Nochad was inaugurated on 3 February, expanding our facilities for members.
Our founding committee
A 13-member Promoting Committee was formed to prepare the bylaws, capital structure and other founding requirements. Mr. C.K. Haridasan (Retd. Secretary, Perambra Regional Co-operative Bank) was unanimously chosen as Chief Promoter, and the society was named Velliyoor Agricultural & Social Welfare Co-operative Society.
